David Amess MP would like to congratulate Southend United on their 1-0 win over Manchester United last night at Roots Hall in the Carling Cup!

Speaking after the match David said,

‘I am delighted with Southend’s win and would like to wish them all the very best for the quarter finals. We were certainly the underdogs going into this match but rose to the occasion to beat the Premiership leaders. Well done!’
