JAMES AND DAVID ANNOUNCE NEW ONLINE HEALTH FORUM
James Duddridge, MP for Rochford and Southend East, and David Amess, MP for Southend West, are today letting people know about a new online health forum called 2020health.org.
The forum has been launched by the Conservative Party to give everyone who is concerned about the NHS, including patients and frontline staff, a chance to network and share their experience of health and social care. While it is independently funded, the think tank has been designed so that all feedback will help influence future Conservative Party health policy.
James and David are encouraging local people to sign up to put their views across by visiting www.2020health.org.
Speaking today, James said:
“With the NHS and local councils employing as many people as they do, there is a wealth of expertise about health and social care in this country, and Southend is no exception. The new online forum is an opportunity to share that expertise with other professionals and service users, and to influence Conservative Party policy.”
David Amess said:
“As a long standing member of the Health Select Committee I have seen at first hand how Labour have failed the NHS during their 9 years in power: David Cameron has made protecting our health service his first priority, a decision that I know will be welcomed service providers and users alike. In order to ensure that our policies reflect the views of the public we want to hear from you as we look to the future for our social care services and our National Health Service.”
