MP’s WINNING 2006 XMAS CARD

A Borstal pupil's Christmas card design has won a competition organised by the MP for Medway. The lucky winner has had his design made up into Bob Marshall-Andrews’ Christmas 2006 Card, that will be sent to local residents, family and friends.
The colourful picture of a Xmas Elf was designed by Robbie Wood of Year 4 Mars Class at The Pilgrim School, C of E Primary, Borstal. Robbie will receive a prize of a House of Commons Teddy Bear plus a framed copy of the Xmas Card. Eight runners-up, chosen from the best part of 520 entries, will also receive a House of Commons gift.
“This is the sixth year I have held this competition. With over five hundred entries it seemed like a daunting task when my staff and I started to judge the competition. Again as always the entries were a pleasure to sift through. I am looking forward to meeting Robbie on the afternoon of Friday 1 December when I will present him prize and thank all the those at The Pilgrim School who organised and took part in the competition,” said Bob.
The eight runners up came from the following schools: Cliffe Woods Primary, Elaine Primary – Strood, High Halstow Primary, Hoo St Werburgh Primary, St Helen’s CE Primary – Cliffe, St James' CE Primary – Grain, St Margaret's CE Primary – Rochester and Stoke Primary.
