CAREER ACADEMY GRADUATION
School Governor, and Upminster MP, Angela Watkinson said.
“I was proud to watch 11 successful students from Sacred Heart of Mary Girls’ School in Upminster walk across the stage to receive graduation certificates which will help them progress to the next stage of their studies or careers with confidence in their ability to achieve what they aspire to.”
“The Career Academy, which brings together the worlds of education and business, held its graduation ceremony at the Methodist Central Hall in Westminster this week. Promising pupils from schools all over the country had been selected to take part in a 6 week internship, which prepares them for university or employment. Participating organisations vary widely, from banks, solicitors, colleges and government departments to football clubs, local government, retail and charities. These links between schools, colleges and business enable young people to grasp opportunities, mature and develop their skills in the real world.”
