First Aid Training for local marketing professionals
05 October 2005
St. John Ambulance has joined forces with the Merseyside, Cheshire and North Wales branch of The Chartered Institute of Marketing to give local marketers the opportunity to learn first aid for the workplace at a special event on Tuesday 25th October in Chester.
The training will run from 4-9pm. at the St. John Ambulance Cheshire headquarters on Valley Drive, Countess of Chester Health Park, Chester and participants will acquire vital first aid skills and a Health and Safety Executive ‘Appointed Persons’ certificate, which will be valid for three years.
Diane Clare, Regional Director for the North of England Chartered Institute of Marketing, said, “We are delighted to be working with St. John Ambulance, the UK’s market leader in first aid, to offer members the opportunity to gain some vital first aid skills. All businesses must ensure they have an appropriate number of staff trained in first aid to deal with accidents and injuries, which occur on their premises. Not doing so can result in severe financial penalties or even prison sentences. We have negotiated a huge discount for members and their guests to undertake the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) ‘Appointed Persons’ course with St. John Ambulance and hope they will take advantage of this opportunity.”
