Delivery: becoming a National Programme

Teens and Toddlers has built a reputation for successfully tackling issues of teen pregnancy, sexual health and social exclusion of vulnerable, at risk young people throughout England. Currently, the Teens & Toddlers project is being delivered in thirteen Local Authorities throughout the country, with further projects under development.

In 2002, the Central London Learning Skills Council funded Teens and Toddlers to develop and pilot an accredited Facilitator Training Programme, which is currently a Youth Work Diploma, Level 3. The Teens and Toddlers Sustanability Replication Programme trains Local Authority workers to deliver Teens and Toddlers projects as a sustainable intervention in local schools and nurseries as a part of their targeted youth services.

New Teens and Toddlers Sustainability Replication Programmes launched in February 2008

February 2008 saw the launch of new Programmes in: Sutton, Haringey, Dartford, Maidstone, Northumberland and Walsall.

London Borough of Greenwich: 2001-present

The Teens and Toddlers Sustainability Replication has delivered and ten projects reaching over 260 young people.

London Borough of Southwark: 2002-present

Eleven projects reaching over 270 young people have been completed. Southwark now has a team of seven qualified Teens and Toddlers Facilitators with nine more Southwark workers currently training.

London Borough of Tower Hamlets: 2004

Two stand alone Teens and Toddlers projects were delivered in Tower Hamlets in 2004.

London Borough of Islington: 2004 - present

The Teens and Toddlers Sustainability Replication has delivered nine projects reaching over 220 young people. Islington now has a team of four qualified Teens and Toddlers Facilitators with three more Islington workers currently training.

London Borough of Brent: 2006-present

The Teens and Toddlers Sustainability Replication has delivered five projects reaching over 90 young people. Brent now has a team of five qualified Teens and Toddlers Facilitators with plans for training more in 2008.

London Borough of Camden: 2006-present

Three stand alone Teens and Toddlers projects have been delivered in Camden since 2006 and a Sustainability Programme will be launched in September 2008.

London Borough of Haringery: 2007-present

Teens and Toddlers in Haringey began with a Stand Alone Project and currently the Sustainability Replication Programme is underway.

Northamptonshire: 2007-present

The Teens and Toddlers Sustainability Replication has been delivered in Corby and Northampton with two projects reaching over 55 young people. Northampton now has a team of five qualified Teens and Toddlers Facilitators with plans for training more in 2008.

N.E Lincolnshre: 2007-present

The Teens and Toddlers Sustainability Replication has been delivered reaching over 68 young people. N.E. Lincolnshire now has a team of eight qualified Teens and Toddlers Facilitators with plans for training more in 2008.

Redcar-Cleveland: 2007-present

The Sustainability Replication Programme launched in Redcar in September 07 and is currently completing the first of two Teens and Toddlers projects with twenty-seven teens and training six Local Authority workers.

Tameside Manchester: 2007-present

The Sustainability Replication Programme launched in Tameside in September 07 and is currently completing the first of two Teens and Toddlers projects with thirty-one teens and training six Local Authority workers.
