Programme of Events
Nationally organised events for National Care Leavers’ Week in 2007 feature two regional ‘big tent’ conference/exhibition style offerings led by the WMTD (What Makes the Difference) organisation in conjunction with Care and Health and the National Care Leavers’ Week coalition partners.
These events are being held in LONDON on Tuesday 22nd October and LEEDS on Thursday 24th October. Full details are available here. On Monday 21st October, a creative writing event is being held for young people in the South West of England involved in preparation for Leaving Care and those who have already left. The event is organised by the Bryn Melyn Group Foundation and kindly hosted by Five Rivers at the Farringdon Centre in Salisbury. Please click here for further details.
Foster Care Associates has teamed up with the Financial Services Authority to present a training package specially geared to the needs of professionals and carers preparing young people for leaving care.
