Education and Training
The Education and Training Committee make sure that registrants have the education and training needed to do their jobs safely. They set the Standards of Education and Training for courses. This committee publish a list of courses which meet the Standards of Education and Training. Students who successfully complete these courses can apply for registration with us.

Investigating allegations: the work of the other committees

A vital part of regulation is taking action against registrants who do not meet our standards. This includes striking them off our register if necessary (taking them off our register).

Our registrants have to keep to our Standards of Conduct, Performance and Ethics. They must also meet our Standards of Proficiency, and agree to keep their skills up to date. We can strike off any registrant who does not meet these standards.

The Investigating Committee
When we receive a complaint about a registrant, the Investigating Committee will usually look at it first. If the complaint is about a false or incorrect entry on the register, the committee will look at this itself. But in most cases the committee's job is to decide who should investigate the allegation in more depth.

Health Committee
The Health Committee normally considers cases where it is alleged that a registrant's ability to practice their profession has been affected by their behaviour or that they have been incompetent.

Conduct and Competence Committee
The Conduct and Competence Committee normally consider cases where it is alleged either that a registrant's ability to practice their profession has been affected by their behaviour or that they have been incompetent
