The GMB's public sector workers in Local Government and the National Health Service will also now come under his care as he takes over the top job in the London Region. It also hosts National Branches of the Sex Workers, Tatootists and Mini Cab Drivers.

Ed Blissett, GMB London Region Secretary said, "I am so proud to have been appointed by the GMB London Regional Committee and endorsed by the whole Central Executive Council of the Union. It is my intention to continue the growth in membership and financial security that Paul Kenny has achieved during his term of office in London Region. GMB members are demanding that the union delivers on its job of looking after them at work. I and the GMB London Organisers will do exactly that."
