Hunting ban
Hunting

MPs have been voting on whether to ban fox hunting, forcing the legislation onto the statute book despite the continued opposition of the Lords.

Peers voted in favour of licensed hunting by 188 votes to 79 - setting the two houses of parliament on a collision course.

With the Commons striking out the Lords' amendment and reinstating an outright ban, the Parliament Act is set to be used to ensure the passage of the Hunting Bill.
