Forum Brief: European car market

Two weeks before MEPs vote on European Commission proposals to shake-up the car market, the Consumers' Association is calling on the parliament to support the Brussels proposals.

Forum Response: Consumers' Association

Emma Harrison, senior public affairs officer, Consumers' Association, told ePolitix.com: "The Consumers' Association is calling on the European parliament to stand strong against industry pressure to water down the proposals. We challenge the European parliament to put consumers in the driving seat and end this anti-competitive regime once and for all.

"This latest analysis blows industry argument out of the water. The new proposals are a win-win for all parties including the car manufacturers."
