Forum Brief: Children's food market
Nine out of 10 children say that mums and dads are their main source of information about healthy eating, according to new research into the children's food market
The research - conducted by the Institute of Grocery Distribution - also shows that when it comes to eating and cooking food, children want to be inspired and stimulated.
Forum Response: Food and Drink Federation
A spokesperson for the Food and Drink Federation told ePolitix.com: "It is very welcome news that children understand the need for a healthy diet. FDF is working with schools, government and others to reinforce this message.
"It's no surprise that children are attracted by promotions but important to note that they see their parents as the main source of information on foods.
"The food industry produces a wide range of options for parents to provide their children with a balanced diet, which can of course include snacks and treats."
