John Prescott is planning another 140,000 houses for southern England.

The properties are to be built in the Solent Gateway area, between Southampton and Portsmouth.

They are in addition to proposals for 200,000 homes along the Thames Gateway in east London, Ashford in Kent, the M11 corridor in Essex and Milton Keynes.
