Jamie Oliver shunned by school dinners panel
The government has declined to include celebrity chef Jamie Oliver on its new expert panel to recommend changes to school meals.
The star was credited with bringing the issue to the top of the political agenda before the election with his programme "Jamie's School Dinners".
Instead Suzi Leather, the former deputy chair of the Food Standards Agency, has been named as head of the panel.
She is joined by catering professionals, nutritionists from the Soil Association and representatives from teaching unions.
