Terror suspect charged over Omagh bombing
Nearly seven years after the Real IRA's bombing of Omagh, a suspected dissident republican terrorist is to become the first person to stand trial for murder.
It is understood that the director of public prosecutions in Belfast gave police permission to charge Sean Gerard Hoey, an electrician from Jonesborough, South Armagh, after fresh DNA evidence was discovered.
