Dyke weighs in with Lib Dem support

The former BBC director general Greg Dyke has become the latest high profile former Labour supporter to switch his backing to the Liberal Democrats.

Saying that another Blair government would "undermine democracy", Dyke also revealed that he might reconsider his decision if Gordon Brown were leader.

It was the publication of the attorney general's legal advice last week that had made his mind up to abandon 40 years of Labour support, he said.
