Euan Blair's girlfriend, Luciana Berger, has resigned from the national executive of the National Union of Students after claiming the student body "is turning a blind eye" to anti-Semitism on university campuses.

The chief rabbi, Dr Jonathan Sacks, has also expressed his "distress" that Berger and two other officials have been forced to quit after growing hostility towards Jewish students.
