Inquiry into BBC heckling claims
The BBC is to hold an internal inquiry into the circumstances which led a documentary film crew to encourage hecklers to disrupt one of Michael Howard's election campaign meetings.
The BBC producers were working on a programme called: 'A history of heckling'.
Following criticism from Guy Black, the Tory director of communications, the BBC denied it had been engaged in "a deliberate attempt to generate a false news story and dramatise coverage".
