Lib Dems' £350m health pledge
The Liberal Democrats will today unveil £350m worth of investment in faster diagnosis of life-threatening conditions such as cancer and heart attacks, in a bid to assist half a million NHS patients stuck on "hidden waiting lists".
As healthcare moves up the election agenda, Charles Kennedy will also promise to cut the time spent waiting to see a specialist after being referred by a GP.
