Some 67 leading business and industry figures today offer their support to Michael Howard's Conservatives.

In a letter to the FT today, they say that a Tory government would "keep spending and borrowing under control and keep taxes down".

The number of signatories is slightly higher than a similar letter to the newspaper earlier this week in which 63 business leaders backed Labour.
