Doubts over arts cash commitment
Culture secretary Tessa Jowell yesterday promised that over the next decade every pupil will gain access to live arts and culture.
However, the Guardian reports that funding for Creative Partnerships - the body set up to promote links betweens schools and artists - has just seen its budget slashed by Arts Council England.
A spokesman for the culture department accepted the pledge was not funded. "Nothing 10 years in the future is funded," he said.
