Asylum seekers could contribute £100m
The government has been warned that it is ignoring a £100m tax windfall by refusing to allow asylum seekers to work.
The Council for Assisting Refugee Academics has argued that there are currently around 1,500 qualified doctors, dentists and other health professionals in Britain who could be filling skills shortages and contributing to the economy.
