Rising crime hits London's quality of life

Rising crime and high house prices have damaged London's quality of life, a new study has revealed.

The annual survey, conducted by international recruitment consultants Mercer, ranks 215 cities across the world according to 39 quality of life criteria.

Birmingham and Glasgow rank 56th in the world, while London is at 39th - three places lower than last year.
