Watchdog criticises complaints procedures
Ministers have been told they could save millions of pounds by reducing the number of complaints made about public services.
The National Audit Office say in a report today that improving the system in which complaints are handled could also produce massive efficiency savings.
With over 1.4 million disputes lodged with the government every year, the "citizen redress" report calculated that a five per cent reduction would save the taxpayer £25m.
