Ministers delay FoI diary decision
Ministers have delayed a decision on whether they should be forced to publish their diaries under the freedom of information laws.
Cabinet secretary Sir Andrew Turnbull and constitutional affairs secretary Lord Falconer have recommended that ministers should publish the details of who they meet although the Cabinet has decided to delay any decision on the move.
The news has sparked fresh claims that the government is playing politics with the new law.
