Clarke indicates case for special anti-terror courts

Cases of terrorism could be heard in special courts, the home secretary has indicated.

Appearing for the first time before the home affairs select committee, Charles Clarke argued for the change.

"Any change in that area would be absolutely enormous," he admitted. "I would be prepared to look at that in the round.  It would require a massive shift and very wide consultation."
