Clarke defends anti-terror strategy
Home secretary Charles Clarke has moved to calm growing opposition to his plans to impose house arrest on terror suspects.
Speaking yesterday he said the new laws would apply to "a very small handful" of individuals.
Meanwhile, the Guardian reports that Clarke will not be investigating allegations by Martin Mubanga, a Briton held in Guantanamo Bay for 33 months, that he was interrogated by a British intelligence officer before being taken there.
