A Conservative MP was robbed in Kenya as he walked after dark, police said yesterday.

Quentin Davies, the MP for Grantham and Stamford, was not hurt but lost credit cards and money in the incident.

He was in Nairobi with five colleagues from the international development committee who were on the way to Darfur in Sudan.
