Labour drops 'tart'
The Labour Party has dropped Christine Wheatley from its list of parliamentary candidates after she confessed to having worked as a "tart" in Paris during the 1970s.
The party said it was axing her for not revealing the information to officials, rather than for her past actions.
"I'm not ashamed. It was before I found proper work. It was fun," said Wheatley.
