David Blunkett will today campaign for Ann Cryer, the Keighley MP who is facing a challenge from the BNP leader Nick Griffin.

It will be his first public political activity since he resigned as home secretary two months ago.

Blunkett will undertake a tour of marginal constituencies between now and polling day, concentrating on seats with strong but disaffected traditional working class votes.
