Home secretary Charles Clarke plans to introduce citizenship ceremonies for 18-year-olds to improve community cohesion.

Ministers believe the introduction of the ceremonies for new migrants has been a success.

There are also plans for a Citizenship day in October this year and a pocket sized guide to the British constitution.
