MI6 to revamp intelligence analysis
A new head of reporting has been appointed at MI6 to oversee the quality of intelligence analysis.
The revamp of career structures follows the Butler report which was highly critical of the use of raw intelligence.
The businessman, a senior management expert in the private sector, will provide management expertise, while a long-serving career intelligence officer will head a new internal watchdog department.
Known as "R" the new recruit is being dubbed the service's "quality control officer".
