Labour backtracks on Lords reform
The government will not announce its final plan for House of Lords reform before the general election.
Interviewed in the Telegraph, Lady Amos, the leader of the House of Lords, has made it clear that agreement on how to choose members of the upper house is a long way off.
"I think there is still more work to be done because if you put four different people in a room, regardless of which party they come from, there will not just be four different views but you'll probably get eight different views about composition," she said.
