Brown pledges drive for Aids vaccine
Chancellor Gordon Brown has kicked off a visit to Africa by calling for a $10 billion a year investment in the search for an Aids vaccine.
Brown said a cure to the killer virus could be found within a decade if the money was put in place.
Writing in today's Independent he says: "We must ensure that when a vaccine is developed, it goes into commercial production and is available at affordable prices."
