Another female Tory faces deselection

Another female Conservative candidate is facing the sack by her constituency association tonight.

Anne Jobson, a top barrister, has been the candidate for Chatham and Aylesford in Kent for more than a year, but her future is under serious threat.

She said that she would not go quietly: "I intend to fight. I will not resign."

Associations have recently sacked Sue Catling, the Tory candidate in the Calder Valley and Rachael Lake, the PPC in Cleethorpes.

Amanda Harland resigned as the party’s candidate for Colne Valley.
