Wark remains in spotlight

Michael Grade, the chairman of the BBC governors, has been asked if he intends to take action against Kirsty Wark over her friendship with Scotland's first minister.

The Scottish National Party wrote yesterday to Grade after it emerged that the Newsnight presenter had twice hosted Jack McConnell and his family at her home in Majorca.

Meanwhile the Scottish Conservatives have called on the first minister to make a personal statement to MSPs regarding the claims.
