The Sun claims that Gordon Brown has vowed to quit the Cabinet rather than be moved to the Foreign Office after the next general election.

A minister "close to the chancellor" is quoted as saying: "Gordon would be a rallying point against Tony Blair's plan to bring market forces into public services."
