BBC 'not worth the money'

As many as a quarter of households do not believe the BBC is worth the licence fee, according to new research.

Commissioned by Gavyn Davies while he was chairman of the corporation and published by the Social Market Foundation, the study found that six million households were unhappy paying the £121 annual fee, compared to 17 million that valued the BBC at or above that level.
