MacShane calls for constitution campaign
Ministers should start campaigning for Europe's new constitutional treaty, says Denis MacShane.
The Europe minister tells the FT that although there was considerable anti-European feeling in British politics people were unlikely to vote to isolate themselves from the rest of Europe.
On the eve of a visit to Britain by Jacques Chirac, MacShane compared the relationship between Britain and France to that of a sometimes bickering married couple but said they were "on the same wavelength".
