Oliver Letwin has predicted that the "black hole" in the government's spending plans will form a major part of the next election.

"In the absence of a big housing crash, which I hope we don't have and don't expect to have, I think the big issue for us is the fiscal question," the shadow chancellor tells the Guardian.
