Company reporting rules relaxed

New corporate reporting requirements will be less legally threatening.

Ministers have apparently given way to lobbying from business groups, the FT says.

The DTI is expected to announce that it has retreated on plans for auditors to check that mandatory operating and financial reviews had been prepared after "due and careful inquiry".
