American forces have forced their way into the centre of Fallujah.

On the second day of the assault, US soldiers reached the centre of the city as marine units drove their way down in two prongs from the north.

Coalition officials said 10 American and two Iraqi soldiers had died there since the offensive began.

Meanwhile, Black Watch commanders are reviewing their tactics following suicide attacks on their soldiers that have left four dead and two seriously injured in three weeks.
