Falconer issues legal claims warning
Lawyers who encourage a "compensation culture" will be warned today they must either agree to a voluntary code or face government regulation.
Lord Falconer, the constitutional affairs secretary, will tell a conference on personal injury claims that the government, legal profession and insurers must cooperate to allow people with genuine claims to pursue them while not creating a compensation culture similar to that in the US.
