Tribunal finds against Tory vice-chairman

Andrew Turner, the Conservative MP for the Isle of Wight and a vice-chairman of the party, has been described as a weak and ineffectual man who was dominated by a bullying girlfriend who worked as his parliamentary assistant.

Turner's former office manager Colin Hedgley made the claim at a tribunal alleging unfair dismissal.

The tribunal found in his favour and ordered the MP to pay him £10,250 for breaching employment codes by dismissing him without verbal or written warning and without proper grounds.
