Rural affairs minister Alun Michael has told the Guardian that he is "worried" about his safety as a result of the looming ban on hunting.

The minister has been targeted by pro-hunt groups since the Commons voted for a ban.

"When you see the hatred on people's faces you have to be worried about what that can lead to," he told the newspaper.
