Unison endorses NHS pay revamp

The public service union Unison has backed the government's plans to reform NHS pay and conditions.

Delegates at a special meeting in London agreed to recommend the Agenda for Change proposals to their 450,000 health members.

Dave Prentis, the Unison general secretary, said: "At the heart of this package will be a new minimum wage in the NHS of £11,135. That is a great breakthrough."
