Health and education secretaries John Reid and Charles Clarke will today launch a £5.7 million Healthy Living blueprint urging schoolchildren to eat sensibly and keep fit.

Under the plans, schools will be told to start gardening clubs.

There will also be a review of nutritional standards in school meals and schools will have to include more exercise in the timetable.
