Mayor and Prescott at odds over London housing needs
The Office of the Deputy Prime Minister has released a study showing that demand for new housing in London will reach 46,000 homes per year between now and 2021.
The prediction is 80 per cent more than forecast five years ago and considerably higher than London mayor Ken Livingstone's estimate.
