A poll of 18 to 30-year-olds in the Times brings both good and bad news for Tony Blair.

Some 42 per cent say that they back the Labour Party, compared to 23 per cent who support the Tories, and 23 per cent who back the Lib Dems.

But 54 per cent say that it is time for Blair to step down as prime minister.
