MPs set to outlaw hunting

MPs are likely to vote to ban hunting with dogs from July 2006.

The move comes after the government agreed to shorten a proposed two year delay which had been proposed by Downing Street.

The backbench amendment will be tabled by the prominent anti-hunting MP Tony Banks, and is being signed by Peter Bradley, rural affairs minister Alun Michael's ministerial aide.
